The following article comes from the book, THE QUIMBANDA GOETIA, MEDITATING ON THE DIVINE MYSTERIES OF THE ASTRAL REALM, SPIRITUAL EXPERIMENTS, written by the author, Carlos Antonio De Bourbon Galdiano Montenegro.

The Congo temple for practitioners of all Congo derived religious traditions is called Munanzo. Munanzo means "The House of the Lord", Nzambi. The Munanzo is the place where all sacred rituals of the Congo derived religious tradition take place along with all of the sacred initiations that make up the sacred rituals of this beautiful tradition. This short article will address the Gnostic meaning of the American Quimbanda Congo Temple in ritual importance. As time moves forward there are many esoteric meanings that existed and were hidden within the tradition that many of our spiritual practitioners do not really know about nor understand the true meaning behind our sacred religious rituals and about the Temple (Munanzo) were these sacred rites of passage take place. It is for that very reason, I find the need to write as many books as possible to educate all individuals about our magical and religious philosophy and about the sacred mysteries that are shrouded behind the meaning of words such as "Munanzo". Although, no one is really at fault, it is an example of just how many of the hidden esoteric mysteries over time have been lost. It is important for all of those who know about the true mysteries of the American Quimbanda religious tradition to share this information with every new initiate over the 7 year religious obligation that an individual makes in an oath at the time that they are initiated into these sacred American Quimbanda mysteries. For those of us who have been fortunate to have been born into these mysteries and have lived it since birth, we have an obligation to transfer this sacred information to future generations to come. By reviving many of these ancient esoteric meanings, a Munanzo and its initiates become wise in the emotional, physical and the spiritual realms.

The American Quimbanda religious tradition traces its biblical origins to the year 1485 when the First King of the Congo was formally baptized into the mysteries of Roman Catholicism by Jesuit Priest and the last remaining members of the Knights Templar. Because of this influence, the Catholic Church of the Congo has always held very deeply within the ancient mysteries of early Jewish & Christian Gnosticism and has placed a large emphasis on ancestral veneration even to this present day.

Every American Quimbanda Temple/Munanzo is (becomes) the representation of Nzambi's (God) Holy Temple here on Earth and for the moment of ritual and the act of sacred invocations and evocations in the shrines area of the Holy of the Holies, the magic circle becomes in reality the mystical doorway, a gateway to the Heavens, a spiritual vortex that will remain open as long as the temple is consecrated, sanctified and Holy. The spirit vessel (nganga) becomes the Holy Ark of the Covenant. Every American Quimbanda temple mimics the very sacred Holy Temple of God in the Heavens which was constructed by the ancient king Solomon on Earth. For this very reason, the American Quimbanda religious temple since 1864 and all of the internal workings and even the set up (sacred floor plan) and its architecture must always duplicate Gods Holy Temple in Heaven in honor and reverence to Him and also to King Solomon who was given the blessings so long to recreate God's Holy dwelling place in the Heavens here on Earth. When we say in our ritual prayers, As it is above - So shall in be below, we are ritually professing our faith and beliefs that everything that exists here on Earth is just a mirror reflection of what exists in the great Heavens. For those initiated individuals who are practicing the orthodox version of the American Quimbanda religious tradition in its oldest and original form, the temple altar is always set towards the east. In every temple the ritual of consecration of every new temple or even an American Quimbanda shrine area in your home also beings with the consecration and the laying of the foundation of the corner store. This is done and performed though an elaborate ritual ceremony. The ritual laying of the corner stone was performed during its construction in the Temple of Solomon by the Master Craftsman Builder and legend of the Freemasonry Order, Hiram Abif. In the year 1872, Henri Luis De Bourbon-Montenegro brought the Free Mason ritual elements and Gnosticism into our tradition and where it has remained to this present day. The American Quimbanda temple has many other esoteric and symbolic hidden meanings including those that are held with our Seven Degrees of Universal Mysticism Studies Program which will be discussed in further detail in the books written for American Quimbanda Spiritual Practitioners which will be published soon. The Congo temple for practitioners of all Congo derived religious traditions is called Munanzo. Munanzo means "The House of the Lord", Nzambi. The Munanzo is the place where all sacred rituals of the Congo derived religious tradition take place along with all of the sacred initiations that make up the sacred rituals of this beautiful tradition. This short article will address the Gnostic meaning of the American Quimbanda Congo Temple in ritual importance. As time moves forward there are many esoteric meanings that existed and were hidden within the tradition that many of our spiritual practitioners do not really know about nor understand the true meaning behind our sacred religious rituals and about the Temple (Munanzo) were these sacred rites of passage take place. It is for that very reason, I find the need to write as many books as possible to educate all individuals about our magical and religious philosophy and about the sacred mysteries that are shrouded behind the meaning of words such as "Munanzo". Although, no one is really at fault, it is an example of just how many of the hidden esoteric mysteries over time have been lost. It is important for all of those who know about the true mysteries of the American Quimbanda religious tradition to share this information with every new initiate over the 7 year religious obligation that an individual makes in an oath at the time that they are initiated into these sacred American Quimbanda mysteries. For those of us who have been fortunate to have been born into these mysteries and have lived it since birth, we have an obligation to transfer this sacred information to future generations to come. By reviving many of these ancient esoteric meanings, a Munanzo and its initiates become wise in the emotional, physical and the spiritual realms.

The American Quimbanda religious tradition traces its biblical origins to the year 1485 when the First King of the Congo was formally baptized into the mysteries of Roman Catholicism by Jesuit Priest and the last remaining members of the Knights Templar. Because of this influence, the Catholic Church of the Congo has always held very deeply within the ancient mysteries of early Jewish & Christian Gnosticism and has placed a large emphasis on ancestral veneration even to this present day.

Every American Quimbanda Temple/Munanzo is (becomes) the representation of Nzambi's (God) Holy Temple here on Earth and for the moment of ritual and the act of sacred invocations and evocations in the shrines area of the Holy of the Holies, the magic circle becomes in reality the mystical doorway, a gateway to the Heavens, a spiritual vortex that will remain open as long as the temple is consecrated, sanctified and Holy. The spirit vessel (nganga) becomes the Holy Ark of the Covenant. Every American Quimbanda temple mimics the very sacred Holy Temple of God in the Heavens which was constructed by the ancient king Solomon on Earth. For this very reason, the American Quimbanda religious temple since 1864 and all of the internal workings and even the set up (sacred floor plan) and its architecture must always duplicate Gods Holy Temple in Heaven in honor and reverence to Him and also to King Solomon who was given the blessings so long to recreate God's Holy dwelling place in the Heavens here on Earth. When we say in our ritual prayers, As it is above - So shall in be below, we are ritually professing our faith and beliefs that everything that exists here on Earth is just a mirror reflection of what exists in the great Heavens. For those initiated individuals who are practicing the orthodox version of the American Quimbanda religious tradition in its oldest and original form, the temple altar is always set towards the east. In every temple the ritual of consecration of every new temple or even an American Quimbanda shrine area in your home also beings with the consecration and the laying of the foundation of the corner store. This is done and performed though an elaborate ritual ceremony. The ritual laying of the corner stone was performed during its construction in the Temple of Solomon by the Master Craftsman Builder and legend of the Freemasonry Order, Hiram Abif. In the year 1872, Henri Luis De Bourbon-Montenegro brought the Free Mason ritual elements and Gnosticism into our tradition and where it has remained to this present day. THE MAGIC OF SOLOMON, GOETIA, QUIMBANDA & MORMONISM

 

 

THE MOST GLORIOUS ANGEL, EXU MAIORAL & THE ANGEL MORONI OF THE MORMON RELIGIOUS TRADITION......

The Angel Moroni of the Mormon religious tradition is identified with Exu Maioral, The Most Glorious Angel of Heaven. In 1989, Exu Maioral physically appeared to me and gave me spiritual instructions of how to write the Sacred Holy Books that we now use in the American Quimbanda religious tradition and that continue to be channeled through me in my writings and many books over the past 20 or so years. The books that I write come from the world of the spirits and I' am their personal scribe to do so. For those practicing the American Quimbanda religious tradition, anything that has to do with angelic revelations of sacred books or the recovery of lost or ancient texts is associated with Exu Maioral, The Most Glorious Angel of Heaven. There are various witnesses over the past years from our religious tradition who have also claimed to have been visited by Exu Maioral, The Most Glorious Angel of Heaven. The most interesting fact about these visitations is that everyone of these individuals were profoundly spiritually inspired after the visitation and soon afterwards began writing sacred texts and books for the American Quimbanda religious tradition. None of the individuals had any interest in writing books prior to the visitation and none of them had any past experience as writers. The Angel Moroni is, in Mormonism, an angel that visited Joseph Smith, Jr. on numerous occasions, beginning on September 21, 1823. According to Smith, the angel was the guardian of the golden plates, which Latter Day Saints believe were the source material for the Book of Mormon, buried in a hill near Smith's home in western New York. Moroni is an important figure in the theology of the Latter Day Saint movement, and is featured prominently in Mormon architecture and art. Three Witnesses besides Joseph Smith also reported that they saw Moroni in visions in 1829, as did several other witnesses who each said they had their own vision. Moroni is thought by Latter Day Saints to be the same person as a Book of Mormon prophet-warrior named Moroni, who was the last to write in the golden plates. The book states that Moroni buried them before he died after a great battle between two pre-Columbian civilizations. After he died, he became an angel, and was tasked with guarding the golden plates, and with eventually directing Joseph Smith to their location in the 1820s. According to Smith, he returned the golden plates to Moroni after they were translated and as of 1838 the angel Moroni still had the plates in his possession. There are many similarities between the Mormon religious tradition and the American Quimbanda religious tradition, such as the baptism for the dead or "Ordinances for the Dead". Another similarity between the two religious traditions is that both have been influenced heavily by Masonic traditions by early founders, such as the belief that the holy temple or place of worship of God mimics the ancient Temple of King Solomon.

THE PHILOSOPHY OF THE AMERICAN QUIMBANDA RELIGIOUS TRADITION & AMERICAN QUIMBANDA SPIRITUAL PRACTITIONERS..

Monotheism is the belief in the existence of one Supreme God. Religious initiates of the Quimbanda religion refer to Him as Nzambi or Nzambi Mpungu, "Almighty God of the Great Celestial Mysteries and the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth". In the Quimbanda religious tradition, God is also referred to as Nzambi Ntoto. In the religious context of our religious theology, the word Nzambi Ntoto means "God Who touched and walked the Earth". The religious initiates of Quimbanda also refer to God as Ndala Karitanga (God who created Himself) and Sa Kalunga (Lord Endless, Infinite and Supreme God), after having created the world and everything in it. Although many religious practitioners of Quimbanda would consider its religious philosophy as monotheistic, there are many elements of pantheism which have been incorporated within the confines of the belief of one true God. Pantheism is the view that the Universe (Nature) and God are identical and that the essence of God is found within the Cosmos as an all encompassing unity and the sacredness of Nature. There has been in recent years much debate and confusion about the Quimbanda religion as being polytheistic, but it is not. It is difficult to delineate from notions such as pantheism and monotheism. The confusion comes from the lack of understanding between the concepts of the term “worship” and the term “veneration.” Worship is an act of religious devotion usually directed to one or more deities. Veneration is a special act of honoring a saint: a dead person who has been identified as singular in the traditions of the religion. In the world of Quimbanda, we worship God and venerate the deities or spirits (Nkisi). Catholics venerate the angelic spiritual beings called angels. Catholics also venerate the saints, (among them Mary), as human beings who had remarkable qualities, lived their faith in God to the extreme and are believed to be capable of interceding in the process of salvation for others; however, Catholics do not worship them as gods. There are other examples of monotheistic religions such as Christianity which embrace the concepts of a plurality of the divine; for example, the Trinity, in which God is one being in three eternal persons (the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit). Additionally, most Christian churches teach Jesus to be two natures (divine and human), each possessing the full attributes of that nature, without mixture or intermingling of those attributes. Although there can be found in the African continent as well as many other places of the world the belief in polytheistic religious beliefs and practices, the concept of monotheism in the ancient African continent has existed for over 8500 years and its concept is not new. The practice of monotheism in Africa predates the birth of Christianity. Most of the fear and misunderstanding about the Quimbanda and Candomble religious traditions come from individuals who have a lack of understanding about the religious philosophy of African cultures and their sacred traditions. Although we often define those spiritual entities venerated and associated with the Quimbanda religious tradition as deities or spirits, they are not. The word deity and the word spirit for those practicing traditional Quimbanda at the American Candomble Church simply means and refers to an elevated spiritual being (Holy One) which can be petitioned to intercede on our behalf directly to Nzambi (God) and assist us in the process of the spiritual elevation and the evolution of our soul. These deities or spirits are also referred to as angelic beings. The word “spiritual being” can be defined as an incorporeal being believed to have powers to affect the course of human events. The word incorporeal means “having no material body or form”. The word “angelic being” can be defined as a benevolent celestial being that acts as an intermediary between Heaven and Earth. This concept is the same as the veneration of the angels and the Saints by Roman Catholics. There is only one true God in the Quimbanda religious philosophy and we call him Nzambi, the "Father and Creator of the Heavens and the Earth", the "Creator of all that is “Seen” and “Unseen".

 The Afro-Brazilian religion of Quimbanda is a “mystery religion” or “gnostic religious tradition”. A mystery religion is any religion with an arcanum, or secret wisdom. In a mystery religion, an inner core of beliefs, practices, and the religion's true nature, are revealed only to those who have been initiated into its secrets.
